Yavne Montefiore Restaurant Review
Don't look for avant-garde in "Yavne Montefiore" restaurant. Here it's all about the classics done right.
In the restaurant "Yavne Montefiore", Israel's most appreciated and renowned chef, Jonathan Rochfeld, offers an affordable and more casual option to his other two restaurants- "Herbert Samuel" and "Tapas Ehad Ha'am".
Named after its location and designed as a modern American bistro the space offers an option for every occasion- the long bar in the center of the restaurant is definitely more young and groovy, or a corner booth for a more romantic atmosphere.

Much like its design the restaurant's menu is a mix of American cuisine and French bistro with Mediterranean influence. From French classics like a nicoise salad or homemade chestnuts gnocchi and of course the classic American hamburger, there's something for every taste.
For aperitif, be sure to try the blood orange mojhito or the ginger pomegranate martini. Alongside the cocktails menu you'll find a rich and user friendly wine carte with options for wine by the glass, or in carafe as well as the wide variety of bottles.
For starters, the artichoke in oregano and yogurt was a treat and the beef Carpaccio was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The pate of foie gras and chicken liver, though presented originally in a jar of homemade jam was a bit of a letdown.

The stars of the entrees were the filet of beef with caramelized onions, shrimp and pumpkin risotto from the specials menu and the Yavne Montefiore sirloin steak had everyone in the table smiling and longing for more.
Rochfeld succeeds once again in creating the whole package- taste, atmosphere and style, this hip restaurant is great for dates, family dinners or just a relaxed evening with friends. With a friendly yet professional service, classic menu and exciting drinks, all that to the sounds of 60's American classic hits- you are sure to get your money's worth and have a memorable night.
