Social Club Restaurant
New-York style in Tel Aviv
One often says that Tel Aviv is like a mini New-York.
Enjoy a dinner at the Social Club restaurant, and you’ll have the feeling that this is absolutely true.
Indeed, this bar-restaurant has a typical Manhattan style. Design, clientele, menu, everything there suggests the Big Apple atmosphere.
Design is definitely elegant: high ceiling, large bar, wooden furniture, subdued and mellow light inside; high bistro tables and bar stools outside.
Clientele suits the place: stylish but not show-off, locals as internationals; a good mix then, just like in New York!
Last but not least, the menu: the Social Club offers delicate and gourmet-style food. Emphasis is put on meat and seafood, with simple dishes but high-class and quality ingredients. Try then the brochette of beef fillet (comes with green beans and potato purée) or the pan fried sea bream fillet (comes with black lentils ragout and yogurt). Simple and yummy!
Don’t feel like having meat or fish? Don’t worry, pasta will save your dinner! Taste then the Gnocchi with mushrooms and Parmesan cheese… absolutely delicious! So that, you’ll maybe come back to the Social Club just to have them!
Deserts are also a must experience. No permanent menu, but choice of sweets that change according to the chef’s inspiration. You should definitely try one (or several?) of them!
Drinkwise, Social Club offers a range of real cocktails, including New York style cocktails like the tasty Apple Martini…So that the place is also perfect for just a drink!
Then, even if quite expensive (as is New York!), definitely go to the Social Club, all the more that it is located in the heart of Tel Aviv nightlife: on Rothschild, means next to lots of very typical Tel Avivi bars and clubs.
